90-In-90 applicants are nominated by facility staff based on financial need and commitment to their recovery program. Clients must be in a 90-In-90-approved HEART -affiliated facility for primary treatment to be eligible.  Our funds are available only when all other sources of funding have been exhausted.

The 90 in 90 Client is required to do the following:

  • Spend HEART funds in a responsible manner. Funds are to be used for basic needs or recovery related expenses.
  • Attend one recovery meeting every day for 90 consecutive days.
  • Live in a HEART -approved sober house (see sober house requirements below).
  • Maintain abstinence from all mood altering substances.
  • Follow all aftercare recommendations from treatment program and all rules of the sober house.
  • Contact HEART through the website at least every two weeks with updates, and respond to any HEART communications within 2 days. (Will be given site address, username, password and instructions to access.)
  • Agree to repay your grant (in any amount, or by volunteering) when you are re-established to allow another person the same opportunity in the future.

Failure to adhere to all above requirements will result in termination from the program and all funding will cease immediately.

Your 90 in 90 Support

Your counselor is asked to help you:

  • Find sober housing that meets all requirements as listed below.
  • Determine which expenses HEART will pay for during the 90 in 90 program, and how those payments will be made.
  • Go over the 90 in 90 Agreement with you

Your Sober House requirements for 90 in 90 Program:

  • Must have a house manager on-site daily to oversee that you are adhering to all requirements listed above.  Peer-run houses will not be approved.
  • Must have access to internet (can be off site, as long as it is easily accessible to you).
  • Must have reliable mail delivery.

Your Sober House staff requirements for 90 in 90 Program:

  • House manager must agree to contact HEART through the website at least every two weeks with updates.
  • Respond to any HEART communications within 2 days.  A second contact should be available if the primary contact will be unavailable for more than 2 days.
  • Must be willing to help you with your monthly budget, and help develop a plan for disbursement of funds.  Note: checks CANNOT be made directly to you.  Suggested solutions include HEART paying creditors directly as much as possible, sober houses disbursing the funds as petty cash, using store gift cards rather than cash, etc.
  • As part of the monthly budgeting, assess with you and the HEART Program Coordinator whether the full $900 allowed is needed based on income and expected expenses.  Unused funding is redirected to others in their struggle to recovery, so we ask that funds are spent responsibly.
  • Must be willing to help coordinate the disbursement of cash to you, if applicable.
